Background: The International University of Monaco's campus is
in the stadium of soccer team AS Monaco. Since Monaco is so small, it will not
surprise you to hear that at the time of writing,
every
student at the university was an international student.
History: The university was formed in 1986. Its expressed aim was to bring to its dynamic region a high-quality management education, combining European rigor with the American practical approach.
Accreditation: Degrees earned at the International University
of Monaco (IUM) are certified by the government of Monaco. The university voluntarily
earned accreditation in the US by ACICS, the Accrediting Council for
Independent Colleges and Schools, which the US Department for Education
recognizes as a national accrediting body. IUM's MBA program is accredited in
the UK by AMBA.
Accommodation: Students will be housed in single rooms, and
will have access to kitchen facilities.
Grading scale:
SIIP recommends that US institutions use the letter-grade scale employed at
IUM. There is no need for conversion.
Credit hours: We recommend a one-to-one conversion between
IUM credit hours and US semester hours. Typically, a student will take up to
fifteen credit hours per semester.
Note: all SIIP course conversions are advisory. Your Home School will make
its own decisions on how to convert grades and credit hours. If you
represent a US university, please feel free to contact
admin@siip.com to discuss how this recommendation was compiled.
