Dear Student,
SIIP – pronounced “sip” – wants you to feel comfortable that you
can study abroad. We’ll take care of you, and liaise with your school in
North America so that you can ensure your course credit will transfer back
home. When you arrive, we’ll help you to establish yourself – we will get
you a cell phone that will work in your new country, and sheets for your
room. An orientation will be held to help to familiarize you with your
destination before classes begin. We will also call you and make sure that
you’re doing well during the course of your program.
We know that as the semester goes on, you’ll become more
comfortable, but also that you will want a chance to see more of your
destination and its neighboring countries. That’s why we’re proud to offer
SIIP Cultural Tours. During full semester programs, you will qualify
for three SIIP Cultural Tours, of which at least one will be to a third
country. If you attend a program that lasts less than eight weeks, you will be
able to attend one SIIP Cultural Tour.
In addition, by participating in our programs, you will know that you’re doing
your bit for the planet. A commercial airplane will emit three-quarters of a
ton of carbon dioxide per passenger each time it flies across the
Atlantic. SIIP is the first cultural exchange company to join the
Chicago Climate Exchange and has committed to offset the greenhouse
emissions it produces through its own operations and the emissions that our
representatives and students produce while traveling overseas. You can
read more about our carbon offsetting program here.
Please explore our site. Our programs represent fantastic
value, and in almost all cases, are cheaper than the average cost of studying
for a semester at a private school in the US. SIIP offers a number of
scholarships, and additionally we will help US students to apply for
financial aid through their home university. When you’ve picked the program for
you, give us a call and we’ll try help you to turn your dream into reality.
Sincerely,

CEO, SIIP
