Supported International Immersion Programs (SIIP) is a new provider of Study
Abroad.
We incorporated in 2006 and our CEO is Mark Gaulter, Ph.D., who has worked in
international education at two major US universities – the University of South
Florida and Seton Hall University. Dr. Gaulter has run study abroad
programs to twenty-five countries around the world and has visited each of our
partner institutions personally to make sure living arrangements and academic
standards are as high as would be expected in US regionally accredited
institutions.
SIIP – pronounced “sip” – wants you to feel comfortable that you
can study abroad. We’ll take care of you, and liaise with your school in
North America so that you can ensure your course credit will transfer back
home. When you arrive, we’ll help you to establish yourself – we will get
you a cell phone that will work in your new country, and sheets for your
room. We’ll hold an orientation to familiarize you with your destination before classes begin. We will call you and check on your well-being during the course of your program.
We know that as the semester goes on, you’ll become more comfortable and want to see more of your destination country and its neighboring countries. That’s why we’re proud to offer SIIP Cultural Tours.
Throughout the program, you will know that you’re doing your bit for the planet. A commercial airplane emits about three-quarters of a ton of carbon dioxide per passenger each time it flies across the Atlantic. SIIP is the first study abroad agency to join the
Chicago Climate Exchange, and has committed to offset the greenhouse emissions it produces through its own operations and the emissions that our representatives and students produce while traveling overseas.
Please explore our site. Our programs represent fantastic
value, and in almost all cases, are cheaper than the average cost of studying
for a semester at a private school in the US. When you’ve picked the
program for you, give us a call and we’ll turn your dream into reality.
